Since our founding in 2001, Piedmont Pharmaceuticals has raised more than $30 million in funding from several investment sources, most recently securing $8.5 million in Series B financing from one of the pioneers of Australian venture capitalism, CM Capital Investments.

CM Capital of Brisbane, Australia, is one of the country's leading early-stage venture capital fund managers. With more than $270 million under management, the firm specializes in life science, biotechnology and telecommunications and information technology companies.

In addition, some of our start-up capital was provided by the Piedmont Angel Network, LLC, a member-managed venture investing capital fund designed to capitalize on the entrepreneurial and early-stage growth and activity in North Carolina's Piedmont region.
