RESULTZ®

Head lice, small parasitic insects that live on the human scalp, affect from six to 12 million people in the U.S. at any given time. Lice are most commonly found on children ages three to 12, but everyone is at risk.

While traditional lice products use insecticides to treat infestations, Piedmont Pharmaceuticals has developed a new kind of treatment that eliminates lice without the use of potentially dangerous chemicals.

Through a unique active ingredient developed from commonly used compounds, RESULTZ® quickly dissolves the waxy covering of a louse's exoskeleton, exposing the louse's circulatory system. Within about 10 minutes of application, lice begin to dehydrate and die.

Clinical studies conducted abroad have found that RESULTZ is extremely effective, with success rates as high as 97 percent. Piedmont Pharmaceuticals is currently conducting Phase III trials on RESULTZ in the U.S.

RESULTZ is sold internationally through licensing partners. It is the market leader in the United Kingdom, where it has been sold as Full Marks Solution® by SSL International since 2005.
